About Us
The Methodist Academies and Schools Trust was created to enable the Methodist Church to discharge its duty as a provider of education.
'Go not where you are needed, but where you are needed most'.
'Do all the good that you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, at all the times you can, as long as ever you can, to all the people you can.'
Objectives of MAST
- Support high quality education in the 66 Methodist and Joint Methodist Schools in England
- Promote 'Methodist' principles in education through spiritual development opportunities and worship, school ethos provision and Religious Education. Key Methodist Principles of Education can be summarised in Wesley's words:
- Guide admissions and recruitment principles for providing a Methodist-ethos led education to children of all faiths and none.
- Facilitate effective governance, management and leadership of Methodist and Joint Methodist schools.
